Bret Hart says he wished he’d never joined WCW while filming again in Goldberg

Until then, I had been bitter about Shawn, but I had to admit it was one of the greatest matches I’ve ever seen that’s where I ended up. in it to making the decision to make friends with Sean and bury the hatchet and all that. It was so honest, that little story with me and Vince and Sean. Sean and I getting into the ring (in 2010) and shaking hands and all of that, it was all so real and so touching to me. And it wasn’t something that got staged in. Sean wanted it off his back and I was in a position to take it off his back and that was the best solution for both of us, and we’ve been friends ever since.

“And I’m thankful he’s in a better place today. I wish none of the bad history we had ever happened to happen. I wish I had never left for WCW because I might not have had a stroke. I might not have had to wrestle Bill Goldberg.”

Hart later went on to say, “I’ve always been a WWE man, always. I almost resent when someone talks about me like I wasn’t. They’re surprised I even exist today. But I gave everything I had for that company and I’m proud of everything I’ve done in the ring and I Proud of what you represented.”

Hart has since been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, once as a singles contender and once as half of The Hart Foundation. Michaels now works within WWE as Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative while overseeing the NXT brand.
